For comparison and contrast, the Novus Ordo “Preparation of the Gifts,” benedictions for bread and wine from the Talmud of rabbinic Judaism, and the Offertory prayers from the traditional Latin Mass are given. Which of these three is not like the others?
Novus Ordo “Preparation of the Gifts”:
Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness we have this bread to offer, which earth has given and human hands have made. It will become for us the bread of life.
Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation. Through your goodness we have this wine to offer, fruit of the vine and work of human hands. It will become our spiritual drink.
Talmudic Benedictions for Bread and Wine:
“Blessed art thou, O Lord, our God, King of the universe, who bringest forth bread from the earth.” (Babylonian Talmud, tractate Berakoth 38a)
“Blessed art thou, O Lord, our God, King of the universe, who givest us this fruit of the vine.” (Babylonian Talmud, tractate Berakoth 35a)
Offertory Prayers of the Traditional Latin Mass:
P: Accept, O Holy Father, Almighty and eternal God, this spotless host, which I, Thine unworthy servant, offer to Thee, my living and true God, to atone for my numberless sins, offenses and negligences; on behalf of all here present and likewise for all faithful Christians living and dead, that it may profit me and them as a means of salvation to life everlasting. Amen

I think your overreaching on this one. Is every single word in the Jews Talmud bad? Don’t bad guys mix in good things to fool people? Couldn’t there by a few good things in the Talmud? Where in the Bible are the Novus Ordo words of consecration inconsistent? They seem ok to me. so do the Talmud quotes.

I think your overreaching on this one.
Sadly, I must say that I believe you’re very confused.
Should it not be a concern to Catholics that the traditional offertory of the Catholic liturgy was replaced by non-Biblical, non-Christian benedictions which were written by the spiritual and ideological progeny of Christ’s executioners: the rabbis of Judaism?
What place do Talmudic benedictions have in the Catholic liturgy? What fellowship hath light with darkness?
Is every single word in the Jews Talmud bad?
I’m sure a few innocuous sounding passages could be found in the Satanic Bible for that matter. And I hope that you would see the insanity in adding such Satanic Bible passages to the Catholic liturgy. If so, then why can’t you see the insanity of using Talmudic passages in the Catholic liturgy? There is, essentially, no difference.
Both Satanism and Satanic rabbinic Judaism fundamentally reject the Messiah, Jesus Christ and His principles. In that respect it would be less offensive to incorporate Islamic or Hindu prayers into the Catholic liturgy than Talmudic benedictions (not that either would be acceptable) for at least these religions do not explicitly reject Jesus.
